King & I

The kings and queens, presidents and others heads of state were flown

to Persepolis. Other guests representing their countries were driven in impressive motorcades. The national anthems of many countries were played in one day at one place. Heads of state were welcomed formally to Iran at Persepolis by his imperial majesty the Shahanshah on Oct 15, 1971. This message turned a new page of Iranian history. I was part of the team, provided the opportunity to participate in this astonishing point in the history and people of Iran. The young men and women marched in the street to the music. I believed, despite all rumors to the contrary, the link with history had remained true to it's mission to the world through 25 centuries. We have not forgotten, we have remembered an celebrated our 2500 year history on Oct 15, 1971.
